Job Description

  • Work closely with other buyers and merchandisers to plan product ranges
  • Responsible for ensuring that the right amount of goods are available in store and and being sold at the right price
  • You are expected to access the need of individual stores and how they might differ based on factors such as store and their target demographics
  • Manage budgets, predict sales and profits.
  • Meet with suppliers to negotiate quantities and delivery schedules
  • Manage levels and distribution of stock
  • Handle supply and product problems as they rise
  • Setting stock promotions / price reductions as appropriate
  • Assessing sales performance of different ranges
  • Making financial presentations to senior managers

Qualification and skills:-

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in the retail industry
  • Affinity with work with numbers and analysis
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to cope with pressure
  • willing to work in a team
